Whittles

Whittling whimsical characters was a lifetime joy and pastime for Fred. Most all of these are between one to two inches tall. Click on panel for detail.

"Fred called these Whittle Warts. He was fond of the word warts because they originated from wood protrusions on the bark of his favorite cottonwood tree down at the swamps. He harvested the warts seasonally every year with glee and delight. To him it was like finding agates on the beach."
