Critters-in-the-Instant

Doodling in 3D. Thumb-size instant sculptures begin as foil pinched shapes that transform into "critters," as the shape starts to define itself. Then, Plasticene is applied and the "critter" is painted.

Fred H. Griffin

Northwest artist and graphic design instructor, taught at Burnley School of Professional Art & Art Institute of Seattle from 1960 - 2010. His work was shown in many Northwest galleries throughout his career.

Like field sketching, this In-The-Instant art is seeing from the inside out rather than from the outside in.
